The work
Revolution is Over. Viva la Revolution! is a short film made with artists formerly known as {rodina}, who later re-emerged as the experimental political formation Party of the Dead.
The film grows out of {rodina}'s Uvy-Parade, a series of ironic one-person pickets about apathy and powerlessness in the face of war, money, corporations, wage labour and political authority. It begins from a present in which living people appear paralysed and the forces shaping their lives have acquired the status of unavoidable facts.
Into this political exhaustion enters the Party of the Dead. The dead return as a paradoxical constituency whose equality is absolute: among the dead, no one can be more dead than another. Their voice restores the possibility of struggle precisely where the living have stopped believing that history can change.
The film turns revolution into a message sent back from the future by those who have already crossed its final border.
The festival
Emigration to the Future was an interdisciplinary festival that took place in Berlin-Wedding, 7–9 August 2026, bringing together artists, performers and researchers from seven countries working across performance, installation, video, sound and public intervention. Curated by Vsevolod Lisovsky and Anton Polski (MAKE / Citizen Make), across venues including exBrache, Chto Delat and public space around Wedding.
