The work
Invisible Dance is a choreographic performance distributed across Berlin's transport system. Performers observe the trajectories, speed, gestures and rhythms of people moving through stations and trains, using these patterns to anticipate what a passerby might do next.
Their choreography is built from these constantly changing hypotheses. A delay before an escalator, a shift of balance in a train, the way someone carries a bag or turns their head can become material for movement. The performers try to remain sensitive to several possible futures at once, adjusting their bodies before those possibilities resolve into actual events.
The audience follows the performance through station, train and platform with a libretto that functions as a tool for noticing rather than an explanation. By the end, observed gestures are collected into a temporary ballet of everyday movement.
Invisible Dance turns public transport into a laboratory of prediction, where the future appears as a force already shaping how bodies move in the present.
