The work
Quantum Love is a performance built around the GHZ game, a quantum experiment that demonstrates the difference between classical and quantum logic.
Three performers are physically separated and cannot communicate with one another, yet they have to coordinate their decisions. The outcome of each round is determined through a real quantum computer accessed via IBM Quantum rather than through a simulation. Their ability to act together therefore depends on a connection that remains invisible within the performance space.
Quantum entanglement becomes both the mechanism of the work and a metaphor for human relations. The performers are isolated, but their actions remain linked; distance does not eliminate dependence.
Quantum Love asks whether forms of connection can survive separation, borders and mistrust. The scientific experiment is staged as a social one: three people attempt to coordinate without direct contact, while a remote quantum system participates in deciding what becomes possible between them.
The festival
Emigration to the Future was an interdisciplinary festival that took place in Berlin-Wedding, 7–9 August 2026, bringing together artists, performers and researchers from seven countries working across performance, installation, video, sound and public intervention. Curated by Vsevolod Lisovsky and Anton Polski (MAKE / Citizen Make), across venues including exBrache, Chto Delat and public space around Wedding.
