The work
Reversed Oracle was born collectively by MishMash, Shura Skaya and the people. It comes to life once in a decade to practice the misunderstanding of reality.
The participant becomes the oracle. Questions are prepared in advance but remain unknown until a visitor chooses one by number; each person can answer no more than three. The participant receives 10 cents for every answer.
All responses are recorded in a special Großbuch. Over time, the book becomes an archive of contemporary collective consciousness assembled from answers to questions whose meaning is revealed only at the moment of encounter.
Reversed Oracle reverses the usual direction of divination: instead of asking an oracle for knowledge, it pays visitors to produce the knowledge from which the oracle itself is made.
The festival
Emigration to the Future was an interdisciplinary festival that took place in Berlin-Wedding, 7–9 August 2026, bringing together artists, performers and researchers from seven countries working across performance, installation, video, sound and public intervention. Curated by Vsevolod Lisovsky and Anton Polski (MAKE / Citizen Make), across venues including exBrache, Chto Delat and public space around Wedding.
